The inaugural Geelong Careers Expo is officially complete. A massive thank you to everyone who helped make this landmark event such a success.
We were thrilled to welcome 3,500 students from across the Geelong Region, along with over 550 members of the public, all exploring the many education, training and career opportunities on offer.
A special thank you to the team at Nyaal Banyul Convention Centre for hosting us in such a fantastic venue.

The Geelong Careers Expo was created to inspire young people to discover what’s possible. By bringing employers, universities, training organisations and industry together in one place, we helped students explore opportunities, make connections and gain valuable insights into their future pathways.
Geelong needed one central, high-quality careers event where young people could explore the full spectrum of opportunities available to them.
The Geelong Careers Expo was created to:
Bring a comprehensive range of providers together in one accessible location
Give students meaningful hands-on experiences
Expand awareness of local and external career pathways
Strengthen collaboration between education and industry
Support young people in moving confidently from school to work
It is a new event for a new generation — designed to grow with the region and become a lasting annual pillar.

Designed for Years 9–12, the Expo brings together a wide range of career, training, employment and support services in one central location. Students will engage in hands-on experiences, meet real industry professionals, and access practical information to help shape their futures.

This is Geelong’s first large-scale careers expo designed to connect industry and training providers with the region’s Year 9-12 students, families and the broader community.
